“Oltraggiosi mandati di arresto della Corte penale internazionale contro i leader israeliani” e ancora “La richiesta del procuratore della Corte Penale Internazionale di mandati di arresto contro i leader israeliani è scandalosa”: così il 20 Maggio 2024 il Presidente Usa, Joe Biden, dopo l’annuncio del procuratore capo della Corte Penale Internazionale dell’Aja della sua intenzione di emettere mandati di arresto per presunti crimini di guerra contro il Premier ed il Ministro della Difesa di Israele.
Il 7 Dicembre 2023, a due mesi dall’inizio delle ostilità, ebbi a scrivere:
“Non si contano i video che testimoniano tutto quanto sta accadendo alla popolazione civile di Gaza e tutti si stupiscono del perché nessuno faccia nulla.
Il vero problema, come a breve illustrerò con dovizia di particolari in un lungo lavoro in fase di ultimazione, è che tutto questo, al di là dei fiumi di parole che abbondano nei vari comunicati e negli accorati appelli che quotidianamente affollano il web ed i social, va esattamente nella direzione degli interessi di tutte le Grandi Potenze e della maggior parte dei Paesi arabi dell’area.
Alla fine il Likud e Netanyahu saranno cancellati dall’establishment politico del nuovo Stato di Israele. Il motivo è molto semplice: nessuno vuole più dover affrontare ad ogni piè sospinto l’instabilità che ha caratterizzato il Medio Oriente negli ultimi anni fino ad oggi, una instabilità derivante dal contenzioso Israelo-Palestinese aggravatosi ulteriormente a causa della destra sionista alla guida di Israele.
Né gli Stati Uniti né la Russia, né la Cina né l’India, né l’Arabia Saudita né gli Emirati Arabi Uniti e nemmeno Teheran, che attualmente non ha più bisogno di Hamas e nemmeno degli Hezbollah per combattere la sua guerra contro gli Stati Uniti visto che ora l’Iran fa parte dei BRICS.
Al tempo stesso tutti i Paesi citati hanno bisogno di buone relazioni con Israele, così come Israele ha bisogno della stessa cosa per trarre il massimo vantaggio dal fatto di essere situato in una posizione strategica, esattamente al centro della principale via di comunicazione tra l’Estremo Oriente e i mercati occidentali, a maggior ragione oggi che la Nuova via della Seta è saltata a causa della guerra russo-ucraina che le ha fatto perdere un suo ganglio fondamentale, Kiev, appunto.
Senza contare le fondamentali risorse energetiche presenti nelle profondità del Mar Mediterraneo orientale (gas) sulle quali non pochi hanno puntato gli occhi.
Non si tratta di essere insensibili o cinici, ma di capire come stanno realmente le cose senza farsi troppe illusioni” ed ancora “A conti fatti Netanyahu sta solo facendo il lavoro sporco che nessuno poteva fare, e tutti auspicavano che qualcuno facesse, cosicché alla fine sarà tolto di mezzo per superiori esigenze e con lui l’intero suo establishment divenuto, come lui, impresentabile” perché “Alla fine ciò che conta sono solo gli affari” in quanto “Pecunia non olet, come dicevano gli antichi, pragmatici Romani”.
Lo scrissi il 7 Dicembre 2023 ed i fatti sembrano oltremodo confermare quella previsione, nonché inoppugnabilmente palesare un vergognoso gioco delle parti internazionale che ha toccato e di gran lunga superato il ridicolo proprio con questa incriminazione se solo pensiamo alla copertura di cui hanno goduto i criminali di guerra kosovari per oltre 20 anni nonostante le testimonianze e le relative denunce presentate persino da alti ufficiali delle truppe canadesi operanti nei Balcani.
Come dovrebbe essere noto —il condizionale è quanto mai doveroso—, ma purtroppo non è, all’epoca dei fatti in questione Francia, UK e Stati Uniti hanno a più riprese interferito con il lavoro della Corte dell’Aja ed esercitato indebite e vergognose pressioni sulla stessa per evitare in ogni modo l’incriminazione dei segnalati, incriminazione che per l’ex Presidente Kosovaro Hashim Thaçi, accusato dal Tribunale Speciale per il Kosovo a l’Aja di crimini di guerra e crimini contro l’umanità commessi ai danni di Serbi, oppositori politici, Albanesi e Rom, nell’ambito del conflitto con la Repubblica Federale di Jugoslavia del 1998-1999 in qualità di esponente di spicco dell’UCK -Esercito di liberazione del Kosovo–, è giunta ‘stranamente’ appena il 24 Giugno 2020, seguito dall’arresto il 5 Novembre 2020 e dall’inizio del processo il 3 Aprile del 2023.
Uno ‘stranamente’ la cui ragion d’essere risiede nella sospetta concomitanza con una serie di dichiarazioni dell’ex Presidente Hashim Thaçi che a più riprese, a partire dal 5 Dicembre 2017, aveva preso a manifestare il desiderio di mettere alla porta le milizie straniere della KFOR.
Ed infatti proprio il 5 Dicembre 2017 grazie all’Associated Press abbiamo appreso che il Presidente kosovaro, Hashim Thaçi, aveva chiesto apertamente che le missioni internazionali lasciassero il Paese, cogliendo pure al volo l’opportunità di manifestare il proprio rammarico per la discriminazione di cui era fatto oggetto il Kosovo da parte della comunità internazionale quando si trattava di indagini sui crimini di guerra e del processo di adesione all’Unione Europea. Non contento aveva poi aggiunto (e sinceramente, alla luce di quanto riportato più oltre circa le mire statunitensi sulla regione, dubito che la notizia abbia fatto esultare di gioia gli Americani), rivolgendosi direttamente alle truppe di sicurezza operative nel Paese e della cui consistenza numerica si era lamentato definendola “ingiustificata”, che “il tempo delle missioni internazionali in Kosovo era passato” visto che al momento, aveva rincarato, “la responsabilità per il nostro cammino, per il presente e per il futuro è nelle nostre mani”. Thaçi aveva, poi, pure affermato che i negoziati con la Serbia, durati sei anni e facilitati dall’Unione Europea, avrebbero dovuto concludersi con un “riconoscimento bilaterale” e che l’obiettivo del Kosovo era l’adesione all’Unione Europea e “non avere le sue missioni a vita (nel suo territorio)”.
Il perché dell’improvviso venir meno della protezione goduta per 20 e passa anni lo si evince da quanto di seguito doverosamente riportato in quanto, poiché proteggere una propria pedina è normale ma ben diverso è farlo in un modo così deciso giungendo perfino ad esporsi oltre misura, il repentino cambiamento di atteggiamento sta a significare che ad un certo punto la domanda più importante da porsi non riguardava più il mero perché vi fosse stato tanto interesse, quanto piuttosto quale fosse stato il vero obiettivo perseguito fin dall’inizio da coloro che a vario titolo quella copertura avevano dato per palesemente tenere lontani da sé, questa volta, e non da Thaçi, gli occhi indiscreti dei magistrati dell’Alta Corte.
La risposta a questa domanda può essere riassunta, anche se al momento la cosa può apparire alquanto criptica, citando un nome: Camp Bondsteel, il nome di una base militare americana costruita in Kosovo molto particolare essendo la più grande base americana costruita all’estero dai tempi del Vietnam localizzata vicino ad oleodotti e corridoi energetici di vitale importanza, all’epoca ancora in costruzione, come ad esempio l’oleodotto trans-balcanico, sponsorizzato dagli Stati Uniti, e della cui importanza è facile rendersi conto anche a partire dal solo titolo di un articolo di Paul Stuart del 29 Aprile 2002 intitolato “Camp Bondsteel and America’s plans to control Caspian oil”.
L’articolo citato, tradotto a cura della Caritas –che lo aveva inserito nella sua settimanale rassegna stampa sui Balcani– e successivamente ripreso dall’ “Osservatorio balcani e caucaso transeuropa” che il 16 Luglio 2002 lo aveva pubblicato sulla propria pagina web con il titolo “Kosovo: Camp Bondsteel ed il petrolio Del Mar Caspio”, risulta essere particolarmente interessante in quanto non solo aveva per tempo messo in rilievo quale sarebbe potuto essere, nei futuri piani geostrategici statunitensi, il ruolo dell’enorme base di Bondsteel, ma anche e soprattutto perché consente di capire quali interessi avevano mosso gli Stati Uniti a fare ciò che avevano fatto nella regione balcanica e che, a quanto pare, tutto lascia supporre si stiano in qualche modo accingendo nuovamente a fare e/o provocare a fare agendo per interposta persona nel Kosovo di oggi.
Quest’ultima affermazione si giustifica considerando che per quello che riguarda la costruzione della base di Bondsteel “La pianificazione degli ingegneri per le operazioni in Kosovo era iniziata mesi prima che la prima bomba fosse sganciata”: e questa dichiarazione è degna della massima considerazione in quanto contenuta in un singolare articolo pubblicato il 1º Aprile 2000 dal Col. Robert L. McClure, su “Engineer: The Professional Bulletin for Army Engineers” (“Ingegnere: il bollettino professionale per gli ingegneri dell’Esercito”) con il titolo “The Engineer Regiment in Kosovo” .
Dall’articolo, a quanto pare ben poco noto ai più, si apprende di come i pianificatori della costruzione di queste basi ( ‘basi’ perché in realtà in ballo ve ne era pure una seconda denominata Camp Monteith ) volessero utilizzare la lezione imparata in Bosnia e quindi convincere i “decision makers” a sostenere la rapidissima costruzione della base militare” e di come, conseguentemente, inizialmente gli ingegneri dell’esercito americano avessero preso in tempi assai rapidi il controllo, per uso militare, di ben 320 Km di strade nonché di 75 ponti presenti nell’area circostante, incominciando a definire da subito la struttura della base stessa, incluse caserme, eliporti, depositi di munizioni, etc.
Appare da tutto ciò evidente che pensare ad una risoluzione pacifica della controversia sul Kosovo che non prevedesse il distacco del Kosovo stesso dalla Serbia non potesse soddisfare in alcun modo Washington: da qui l’appoggio alle spinte autonomiste dei più feroci nazionalisti Albanesi kosovari con tutto quello che ne è conseguito in termini di perdite di vite umane e distruzioni.
Se la storia deve essere una maestra di vita credo che la lettura a posteriori di quanto qui riportato possa farci capire cosa abbia fatto sì che la pantomima pro–vite umane palestinesi messa in scena dalla comunità internazionale abbia raggiunto il suo culmine con questo pronunciamento della Corte dell’Aja e di quanto falsa sia, nello specifico, l’indignazione di una Casa Bianca che sa di poterlo fare ben certa, come del resto le altre Cancellerie coinvolte a vario titolo nella vicenda, che l’azione dell’IDF non sarà fermata per la semplice ragione che ad oggi non può essere fermata ed a placare gli animi e le piazze ci penseranno i tempi lunghi della … giustizia internazionale che finiranno per far guadagnare altro tempo alle forze in campo.
Verrà mai alla luce la verità su Gaza? Per certo si, ma quando accadrà ciò che doveva essere sarà già avvenuto e la ‘pubblica opinione attratta altrove’

NETANYAHU AND THE HYPOCRISIES OF THE WEST WITH THE BLESSING OF THE REST OF THE WORLD
“Outrageous International Criminal Court arrest warrants against Israeli leaders” and again “The request by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous”: thus on May 20, 2024, the U.S. President, Joe Biden, after the announcement by the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague to issue arrest warrants for alleged war crimes against the Premier and Defense Minister of Israel.
On Dec. 7, 2023, two months after the start of hostilities, I had written, “You can’t count the number of videos testifying to everything that is happening to the civilian population of Gaza and everyone is surprised why no one is doing anything.
The real problem, as I will shortly explain in great detail in a lengthy paper nearing completion, is that all of this, beyond the rivers of words that abound in the various communiqués and heartfelt appeals that crowd the web and social media on a daily basis, goes exactly in the direction of the interests of all the Great Powers and most of the Arab countries in the area.
Eventually Likud and Netanyahu will be erased from the political establishment of the new State of Israel. The reason is very simple: no one wants to have to deal at every turn anymore with the instability that has characterized the Middle East in recent years to date, an instability stemming from the Israeli-Palestinian dispute that has been further aggravated by the Zionist right-wing leadership of Israel.
Neither the United States nor Russia, neither China nor India, neither Saudi Arabia nor the United Arab Emirates and not even Tehran, which currently no longer needs Hamas or even Hezbollah to fight its war against the United States since Iran is now part of the BRICS.
At the same time, all the countries mentioned need good relations with Israel, just as Israel needs the same in order to take full advantage of the fact that it is situated in a strategic position, exactly in the center of the main communication route between the Far East and Western markets, all the more so now that the New Silk Road is blown up because of the Russian-Ukrainian war that caused it to lose one of its key ganglia, Kiev, precisely.
Not to mention the crucial energy resources in the depths of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea (gas) on which not a few have set their eyes.
It’s not a matter of being insensitive or cynical, but of understanding how things really are without having too many illusions” and again “On balance Netanyahu is just doing the dirty work that no one could do, and everyone hoped someone would do, so that in the end he will be taken out of the way for higher needs and with him his entire establishment which has become, like him, unpresentable” because “In the end what matters is only business” since “Pecunia non olet, as the ancient, pragmatic Romans used to say.”
I wrote this on December 7, 2023, and the facts seem beyond all doubt to confirm that prediction, as well as incontrovertibly to expose a shameful international partisan game that has touched and far surpassed the ridiculous with this very indictment if we only think of the cover enjoyed by the Kosovar war criminals for more than 20 years despite the testimonies and related complaints filed even by senior officers of Canadian troops operating in the Balkans.
As should be well known -the conditional tense is as much as ever-, but unfortunately it is not, at the time of the events in question France, the UK and the US repeatedly interfered with the work of the Hague Court and exerted undue and shameful pressure on it to avoid in any way the indictment of the reported persons, an indictment that for former Kosovar President Hashim Thaçi, Accused by the Special Tribunal for Kosovo in The Hague of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against Serbs, political opponents, Albanians and Roma as part of the 1998-1999 conflict with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia as a leading member of the KLA -Kosovo Liberation Army-, came ‘strangely’ just on June 24, 2020, followed by his arrest on November 5, 2020, and the start of his trial on April 3, 2023.
An ‘oddly’ whose raison d’être lies in its suspicious concomitance with a series of statements by former President Hashim Thaçi who on several occasions, starting on December 5, 2017, had taken to expressing his desire to throw the foreign KFOR militias out the door.
And in fact, on December 5, 2017, thanks to the Associated Press, we learned that the Kosovar President, Hashim Thaçi, had openly called for international missions to leave the country, even seizing the opportunity to express his regret for the discrimination that Kosovo was being subjected to by the international community when it came to the investigation of war crimes and the process of accession to the European Union. Not content, he had then added (and frankly, in light of what is reported further on about U.S. sights on the region, I doubt that the news made the Americans rejoice with joy), addressing himself directly to the security troops operating in the country and whose numerical size he had complained about, calling it “unjustified,” that “the time for international missions in Kosovo had passed” since at the moment, he had recoiled, “the responsibility for our way, for the present and for the future is in our hands.” Thaçi had, then, as well, said that the six-year negotiations with Serbia, facilitated by the European Union, should have ended with “bilateral recognition” and that Kosovo’s goal was EU membership and “not to have its missions for life (in its territory).”
The reason for the sudden loss of the protection enjoyed for 20-odd years can be deduced from what follows dutifully in that, since protecting one’s pawn is normal but quite different is to do so in such a decisive way even going so far as to expose oneself beyond measure, the sudden change in attitude means that at a certain point the most important question to be asked was no longer about the mere reason why there had been so much interest, but rather what had been the real objective pursued from the beginning by those who in various capacities had given that cover in order to blatantly keep the prying eyes of the High Court magistrates away from themselves, this time, and not from Thaçi.
The answer to this question can be summarized, although it may appear somewhat cryptic at the moment, by citing a name: Camp Bondsteel, the name of a very unusual U.S. military base built in Kosovo being the largest U.S. base built abroad since Vietnam located near vital oil pipelines and energy corridors still under construction at the time, such as the U.S.-sponsored Trans-Balkan pipeline, the importance of which is easy to realize even from just the title of an April 29, 2002 article by Paul Stuart entitled “Camp Bondsteel and America’s plans to control Caspian oil.”
The quoted article, translated by Caritas -which had included it in its weekly press review on the Balkans- and later taken up by the “Balkans and Caucasus Transeuropa Observatory,” which published it on its web page on July 16, 2002 under the title “Kosovo: Camp Bondsteel and Caspian Oil,” turns out to be particularly interesting in that it had for time not only highlighted what the role of the huge Bondsteel base might be in future U.S. geostrategic plans, but also and especially because it allows one to understand what interests had moved the United States to do what it had done in the Balkan region and which, it seems, everything suggests it is somehow preparing to do again and/or provoking it to do by acting through intermediaries in today’s Kosovo.
This last statement is justified considering that as far as the construction of the Bondsteel base is concerned “Planning by engineers for operations in Kosovo had begun months before the first bomb was dropped”: and this statement is worthy of the highest consideration as it is contained in a singular article published on April 1, 2000 by Col. Robert L. McClure, in “Engineer: The Professional Bulletin for Army Engineers” (“Engineer: The Professional Bulletin for Army Engineers”) under the title “The Engineer Regiment in Kosovo” .
From the article, apparently little known to most, we learn how the planners of the construction of these bases ( ‘bases’ because in reality there was also a second one named Camp Monteith at stake ) wanted to use the lessons learned in Bosnia and thus convince the “decision makers” to support the very rapid construction of the military base ” and how, consequently, initially the U.S. Army engineers had very quickly taken control, for military use, of as many as 320 km of roads as well as 75 bridges in the surrounding area, immediately beginning to define the structure of the base itself, including barracks, helipads, ammunition depots, etc.
It seems clear from all this that thinking of a peaceful resolution of the Kosovo dispute that did not involve the detachment of Kosovo itself from Serbia could not satisfy Washington in any way: hence the support for the autonomist thrusts of the most ferocious Kosovar Albanian nationalists with all that ensued in terms of loss of life and destruction.
If history is to be a teacher of life I believe that reading in retrospect what is reported here can make us understand what caused the pro-Palestinian pantomime staged by the international community to reach its climax with this Hague Court pronouncement and how false it is, specifically, the indignation of a White House that knows it can do so well assured, as are the other Chancelleries involved in various capacities in the affair, that the action of the IDF will not be stopped for the simple reason that as of today it cannot be stopped and to appease the tempers and the squares will be taken care of by the long times of … international justice that will eventually buy more time for the forces on the ground.
