Dell’attentato del 13 Luglio 2024 in Pennsylvania all’ex Presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump è stato e scritto di tutto e di più cosicché, tra ricostruzioni dell’ultima ora, dichiarazioni di testimoni oculari e messaggi di solidarietà ufficiali inviati da Premier e Presidenti vari –tra questi ultimi quello di Joe Biden—, ben poco vi è da dire e da aggiungere alla cronaca spicciola che lascio volentieri a chi di questo si occupa preferendo io aprire questo pezzo con una osservazione sul degenerato modo di fare politica negli Stati Uniti: un nuovo modo, tocca dirlo, di cui è in primo luogo responsabile proprio il Tycoon.
Non è un giudizio di merito, e nemmeno un’accusa bensì una mera constatazione di cui tenere conto per cercare di capire non tanto il perché ed il come di quanto è successo, un problema che è e resta appannaggio degli organismi investigativi statunitensi, quanto piuttosto le ragioni che hanno indotto il Senatore J.D. Vance, considerato una possibile scelta come vice per Donald Trump, unitamente ad altri esponenti repubblicani, a puntare il dito contro Biden e i democratici per il tentativo di assassinare Trump.
“Per settimane i leader democratici hanno alimentato un’isteria ridicola secondo cui la vittoria della rielezione di Donald Trump sarebbe la fine della democrazia in America”, queste le parole pronunciate dal numero due del Grand Old Party alla Camera, l’italo-americano Steve Scalise, lui stesso gravemente ferito durante una sparatoria nel 2017 il cui responsabile, ucciso dalla polizia, apparteneva a diversi gruppi anti-repubblicani e si era offerto volontario per la campagna presidenziale del senatore Bernie Sanders.
“Chiaramente abbiamo visto in passato pazzi di estrema sinistra agire con una retorica violenta. Questa retorica incendiaria deve finire”, ha aggiunto. “Joe Biden ha mandato gli ordini” ha scritto su X il deputato della Georgia Mike Collins: tutto secondo uno schema che vista la mancanza di informazioni oggettive mettono in evidenza la corta memoria dei supporter di Donald Trump circa tutto quanto avvenne ai tempi della sua sconfitta elettorale 4 anni or sono, allorché a Novembre del 2020 Donald Trump, primo Presidente degli Stati Uniti a fare una cosa del genere, non riconobbe la vittoria di Biden, continuando ad insistere, mentendo sapendo di mentire, sulle accuse di brogli ed annunciando, come già promesso, battaglia legale: tanto per non parlare dell’attacco del 6 Gennaio 2021 a Capitol Hill!
A tale proposito vale la pena leggere quanto segue: “L’odierna cultura dello scandalo e l’apparentemente infinito ciclo di politica del ‘gotcha’ (si dice gotcha per significare “ti ho preso”, “preso!” sorprendere o spaventare qualcuno che si è catturato, o per dimostrare di avere un vantaggio su di lui.) praticato dagli ideologi estremisti di destra e di sinistra di entrambi i partiti affondano le loro radici nelle guerre politiche e culturali degli anni Sessanta e nello scandalo Watergate che le seguì immediatamente negli anni Settanta. Questo vale anche per il cosiddetto Grande Divario tra l’America conservatrice degli Stati Rossi e quella liberale degli Stati Blu, immortalato nelle mappe elettorali presidenziali del 2000 e del 2004. Lo scandalo è diventato il principale strumento di distruzione politica di massa per oltre 30 anni. Sempre più democratici e repubblicani, in un centro sempre più ampio, vedono le ipocrisie e il veleno controproducente proveniente dalle loro basi puriste. Sempre più persone sono stufe degli ideologi della lotta per il cibo di entrambi gli schieramenti e condividono il sentimento di Shakespeare, “un veleno su entrambe le vostre case”. In tutto lo spettro c’è il desiderio di discutere i problemi nel merito e di trovare soluzioni e il disgusto per la politica di distruzione personale ”.

Davis, avvocato, crisis manager, consulente, autore, commentatore televisivo ed esperto di consulenza strategica, pur essendo un democratico vanta amici in entrambi gli schieramenti Durante l’amministrazione Clinton, Lanny è stato consulente speciale e portavoce del presidente e portavoce della Casa Bianca su questioni riguardanti la campagna elettorale.
Nello specifico della campagna elettorale del 2016, quella che ha incoronato Trump Presidente degli Stati Uniti, i suoi toni accesi e violenti, la volgarità degli atteggiamenti e l’acrimoniosa faziosità profusa a piene mani, è stata un qualche cosa che ha fatto semplicemente emergere quanto s’era assopito, ma mai azzerato, nella società americana.
In quella stagione di primarie presidenziali apparentemente interminabile, ogni candidato ha rivendicato lo status di “outsider” e ha attaccato quasi ogni altro rivale come una creatura dell'”establishment” del partito: nessun titolo o distinzione – senatore, governatore, first lady, segretario di Stato, fratello o sorella di ex presidenti, miliardario famoso – è stato troppo grande per scoraggiare gli aspiranti presidenti dal presentare le loro campagne come audaci insurrezioni contro la compiacenza e la corruzione dei poteri costituiti, cosicché il mondo ha assistito ad una riedizione della autocelebrazione della faziosità peggiore di pochi anche se riproposta in chiave populista.
Se questo è il nuovo corso che attende gli Stati Uniti, noi Europei faremmo molto bene a cercare di capire come trarci d’impaccio da una situazione palesemente fuori controllo e foriera dei peggiori sviluppi sotto tutti i punti di vista.

THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON DONALD TRUMP! REFLECTION IS URGENTLY NEEDED

This is not a judgment of merit, nor even an accusation but rather a mere observation to be taken into account in trying to understand not so much the why and how of what happened, a problem that is and remains the prerogative of U.S. investigative bodies, but rather the reasons that led Senator J.D. Vance, considered a possible choice as deputy for Donald Trump, along with other Republican figures, to point the finger at Biden and the Democrats for attempting to assassinate Trump.
“For weeks, Democratic leaders have been feeding a ridiculous hysteria that Donald Trump’s reelection victory would be the end of democracy in America,” those were the words uttered by the Grand Old Party’s number two in the House, Italian-American Steve Scalise, himself seriously wounded during a shooting in 2017 whose perpetrator, who was killed by police, belonged to several anti-Republican groups and had volunteered for Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.
“Clearly we have seen far-left lunatics acting out violent rhetoric in the past. This inflammatory rhetoric has to stop,” he added. “Joe Biden sent the orders,” wrote Georgia Congressman Mike Collins on X: all according to a pattern that given the lack of objective information highlights the short memory of Donald Trump’s supporters about everything that happened at the time of his election defeat 4 years ago, when in November 2020 Donald Trump, the first U.S. president to do such a thing, did not acknowledge Biden’s victory, continuing to insist, lying knowing he was lying, on allegations of fraud and announcing, as already promised, legal battle: not to mention the January 6, 2021 attack on Capitol Hill!

If this is the new course that awaits the United States, we Europeans would do very well to try to figure out how to extricate ourselves from a situation that is clearly out of control and a harbinger of the worst developments in all respects.
