Un giorno si e quello dopo pure c’è qualcuno che apre le propria giornata, sulla stampa come pure sui social, rendendoci edotti di qualche gaffe di Joe Biden. Tanti ridono, molti irridono, altri compatiscono ed i più si domandano se si ritirerà o meno dalla campagna elettorale presidenziale, ma nessuno si pone la domanda che sarebbe doveroso porsi proprio in questo singolarissimo momento storico: “Vista la gravità della situazione, visto lo stato confusionale in cui versa il Presidente Joe Biden, chi è che al momento decide e governa negli Stati Uniti?”
Non più tardi di ieri Biden ha detto di voler finire il lavoro iniziato ma in conferenza stampa ha confuso Zelensky con Putin e chiamato Trump la sua vice Kamala Harris. I problemi sono evidenti, i sondaggi continuano a peggiorare, a quanto pare Obama e Nancy Pelosi lo pressano perché molli pensando alla prossimità del voto del 5 Novembre, ma nessuno si pone il problema di chi sia al momento al timone degli Stati Uniti d’America e la cosa non depone a favore della classe politica Occidentale che in questo momento potrebbe preoccuparsi un po’ meno di sorridere e farsi ritrarre nelle migliori pose possibili –ed un po’ di più di quello per cui sono pagati.
Se certe mancanze possono essere scusate nel caso di Biden, non così ritengo possa valere per tutti gli altri, a cominciare dalla von der Leyen e Giorgia Meloni visto che, oltretutto, l’occasione dell’ultima performance è stata la conferenza stampa conclusiva del vertice NATO
BIDEN’S GAFFES AND THE QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING: WHO GOVERNS THE USA?
Every other day there is someone who opens their day, in the press as well as on social media, making us aware of some of Joe Biden’s gaffes. Many laugh, many scoff, others pity and most wonder whether or not he will withdraw from the presidential election campaign, but no one is asking the question that would be incumbent on them precisely at this most singular moment in history: “Given the gravity of the situation, given the state of confusion in which President Joe Biden finds himself, who is currently deciding and governing in the United States?”
No later than yesterday, Biden said he wanted to finish the job he started but in a press conference he confused Zelensky with Putin and called Trump his deputy Kamala Harris. The problems are obvious, the polls keep getting worse, apparently Obama and Nancy Pelosi are pressuring him to quit thinking about the proximity of the Nov. 5 vote, but no one is questioning who is currently at the helm of the United States of America, and it does not bode well for the Western political class, which right now could worry a little less about smiling and being portrayed in the best possible poses-and a little more about what they are paid to do.
If certain shortcomings can be excused in the case of Biden, not so I think can be the case for everyone else, starting with von der Leyen and Giorgia Meloni given that, moreover, the occasion of the last performance was the concluding press conference of the NATO summit
